1. What cookies and browser storage are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Websites can also use local storage and session storage, which work in a similar way. They let a website remember things, such as the language you chose or an open chat conversation.
2. Cookies we use
Cookies that visitors to nordtvstream.com can receive
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
| pll_language | This website (Polylang) | Remembers the website language you are using | Up to 1 year |
| twk_uuid_… | Tawk.to live chat | Recognises your browser so a chat conversation can continue on your next visit | 6 months |
| twk_idm_key | Tawk.to live chat | Manages the connection between your browser and the chat | Session (deleted when you close the browser) |
| TawkConnectionTime | Tawk.to live chat | Keeps the chat in step when the website is open in several tabs | Session |
Cloudflare, which protects this website, may set a short-lived security cookie (for example __cf_bm) if it needs to check that traffic is not automated. If you log in to the WordPress administration area, WordPress sets its own login cookies; ordinary visitors do not need to log in.
3. Other browser storage
Local storage and session storage items used on nordtvstream.com
| Item | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
| twk_… and twk_token_… (local storage) | Tawk.to live chat | Keeps your chat session and conversation available | Until cleared by the chat provider or by you |
| tawk_has_register_visitor, previousNav (session storage) | Tawk.to live chat | Remembers during your visit that the chat has started and which page you last viewed | Session |
| wpEmojiSettingsSupports (session storage) | This website (WordPress) | Checks once whether your browser can display emoji; contains no personal information | Session |
4. Statistics without cookies
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see aggregated page views and page speed. It does not set cookies or use browser storage, and we do not use it to identify individual visitors. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising cookies or social media pixels.
5. Necessary and optional technology
- Necessary: security cookies and the WordPress items above keep the website working and safe.
- Functional: the language cookie and the live chat items provide features you use, such as reading the site in your language and chatting with our support team. The chat items are stored when the chat loads on a page.
- Not used: advertising, marketing and cross-site tracking cookies.
6. How to control cookies
You can see, block and delete cookies and browser storage in your browser settings, and you can use a private browsing window. Blocking the chat cookies may stop the live chat from working; you can still contact us by email at [email protected]. Blocking the language cookie only means the website may not remember your language choice.
7. Changes and contact
We will update this policy if we add or change any cookies or similar technology. For questions, email [email protected]. More about how we handle personal information is in our Privacy Policy.
