1. Who we are

This website, nordtvstream.com, is operated by Nord TV Stream, an internet television service for households in the Nordic countries and other regions. Nord TV Stream is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us about privacy at [email protected].

2. What this policy covers

This policy covers visits to nordtvstream.com and conversations with us through the live chat on this website or by email. Online ordering is not open yet, so this website does not currently take payments or create customer accounts. We will update this policy before that changes.

3. Information we handle

Information you give us

• Live chat: the messages you write, and any name, email address or files you choose to share in the chat.
• Email: your email address, the content of your message and anything you attach when you write to [email protected].

Please do not send passwords or payment card details through chat or email.

Information collected automatically

• Technical and security logs: like almost every website, our hosting provider, our content delivery network (Cloudflare) and the security tools on our WordPress site record requests to the website. These records can include your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, your browser and device type and the referring page.
• Live chat data: when the chat loads, our chat provider Tawk.to processes your IP address, browser and device information, the pages you view on this site and an approximate location derived from your IP address, so that we can see which page you are asking about and continue a conversation.
• Website statistics: Cloudflare Web Analytics gives us aggregated statistics about page views and page speed. It does not use cookies and we do not use it to identify individual visitors.
• Cookies and similar storage: a small number of cookies and browser storage items are used for the chat and for your language choice. See our Cookie Policy.

We do not use advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels or cross-site advertising profiles, and we do not sell personal information.

4. Why we use it

Purposes of processing and, for visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and similar jurisdictions, the legal basis we rely on.

5. Service providers

We use trusted providers to run the website and our support. They process information for us under their own terms and privacy commitments:

• Web hosting provider: stores and serves the website and keeps server logs.
• Cloudflare: delivers the website quickly and securely, filters malicious traffic and provides cookieless website statistics.
• Tawk.to: provides the live chat and stores chat conversations.
• Our email service provider: delivers and stores email sent to [email protected].
• WordPress software on our own server: WordPress itself, security plugins that log login attempts and suspicious requests, Polylang (language handling), Rank Math (search engine information), WP Super Cache (page caching), Google Site Kit (used only for Google Search Console verification and PageSpeed reports; Google Analytics and advertising features are not enabled), and the Elementor and Astra page tools.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Nord TV Stream, our customers or others.

6. International processing

Nord TV Stream serves customers in many countries and our providers operate internationally. Cloudflare, Tawk.to and our email service provider in particular may process your information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where the law requires it, we rely on the safeguards our providers offer for international transfers, such as standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

7. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including answering follow-up questions, keeping a record of support we have given, protecting the website and meeting legal obligations. Chat conversations and emails are deleted when they are no longer needed for these purposes. Technical and security logs are kept by our providers for limited periods under their own settings. You can ask us to delete your chat or email history at any time (see section 8).

8. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
• ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
• ask us to delete your information;
• ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it;
• receive information you gave us in a commonly used format (data portability);
• withdraw consent at any time if we ask for it in future (this website does not currently rely on consent);
• complain to the data protection authority in the country where you live or work.

9. Security

The website is only served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, sits behind Cloudflare's security filtering and uses security tools that monitor login attempts and suspicious requests. Access to chat and email is limited to the people who provide support. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

10. Children

Nord TV Stream is a family-friendly service without adult content, but subscriptions are meant to be arranged by adults. This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please email us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when our website, services or providers change, for example before online ordering opens. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
